How to get help

What to put in the message

  • The app version and your Android version.
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • Which engine you connect to and which version: PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB.
  • Never send passwords, keys or connection strings. We do not need them and we could not read them anyway.
Hivek DB

Worth checking first

  • The connection times out. The database has to be reachable from your phone. If it only listens on a private network, use the SSH tunnel instead of connecting directly.
  • It refuses to connect and mentions the server fingerprint. That is deliberate. The fingerprint is pinned on the first connection, and if it changes the app cuts the connection before sending your credentials. If you rebuilt the server, delete the saved connection and set it up again.
  • It does not remember my credentials. Saving them is optional and off by default.

Your data

Everything the app stores stays on your phone. There is no account, and no server of ours holds anything, so uninstalling it removes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
